OCALA, Fla. (March 2, 2015) Blake Hahn's trip to Florida with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real came to a close this past Friday at Bubba Raceway Park.
"We had a really good car this weekend," said Hahn. "We tried some new setup ideas and they seemed to work really well. We were able to move forward in our Heat Race and even with the rubber during the feature, the car felt really good."
Hahn's first trip to the Bubba Raceway Park, the CSR Garage / Lucas Oil No. 52 moved forward in his Heat Race, enough to place Hahn in the final transfer spot for his 50th Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour A-Feature start.
"The car was good, you just couldn't pass. If you missed the bottom, you were going to back up but the way we had the car rolling, it felt really good," commented Hahn. Asked about having started 50 features, Hahn replied, "Making 50 of these races in the short amount of time I've been racing with these guys is pretty exciting. It gets me pumped for the rest of the season."
Hahn will compete next with the ASCS Red River Region at Flint Creek Speedway in West Silaom Springs, Okla. and Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. on March 13 and 14 in preparation for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour's return to the Devil's Bowl Speedway the following weekend.
"I'm looking forward to racing around home with the Red River Region, then going to Mesquite. We're going to have Gary Wright helping us again, and there is no doubt he knows how to roll around that place."
