TULSA, Okla. (February 9, 2016) Just off of his second straight appearance in the A-Feature of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals, Blake Hahn has cars nearly ready for another year of competition with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.
Year No. 3 for the Oklahoma racer on the National Tour, Hahn will pilot the family backed Lucas Oil / JR1 No. 52.
“I’m really looking forward to this year,” said Hahn. “Our winged season ended really well last year, and we were able to advance in the standings and improve over our Rookie season so we accomplished what we set out to do. Now it’s just building on that success and going after more wins this season.”
With cars freshly returned from JR1 Race Cars, the final touches are being applied with very little changing on the team for the 2016 season.
“It’s still going to be Dalton, my Dad, and myself on the road this year. Jerry Russell builds us great cars, and you just can’t go wrong with Wesmar power so really, as far as changes, right now we’re more focused on making what we’ve been doing more consistent.”
Looking at the full National Tour lineup, as well as select ASCS Regional and Midget events in 2016, Hahn looks to be in action upwards of 60 times, “Anytime we’re not on the road, we’re going to find something to race. We raced a lot of Red River and Gulf South shows last year in addition to the National Tour, so we’ll do that again, plus there are some POWRi shows we want to run as well so we can test some things for the Shootout and Chili Bowl.”
Blake Hahn would like to thank his family for their continued support to put his No. 52 on the road as well as Lucas Oil Products, Protect the Harvest, CSR Garage, Pizza Express of Oklahoma, Engler, Hoosier Tire, Triple X, JR Race Cars, Smiley’s Racing Products, Speedway Motors, Rod End Supply, Lightning Wings, Penske Shocks, and FSR Radiators for their continued support.
