Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (May 1, 2018) Putting in a solid weekend in Kentucky and Tennessee, Blake Hahn will add two more tracks to the list this coming weekend as the Griffith Truck and Equipment/CSR Garage No. 52 debuts at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 4 and Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, May 5 with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com.

“I’ve been looking forward to this weekend since it was announced. There is such a history in Pennsylvania, and to be able to finally race there with the American Sprint Car Series, it’s big for all these teams,” stated Blake.

“The fan response has been great, and we aren’t even there yet. We’ve had people messaging us for a week now asking if we’re coming, if we’re bringing shirts, if we’re going to run double-duty, so it seems like the fans are just as excited as we are.

Going into the Pennsylvania double-header, Hahn was on track at Paducah International Raceway this past Friday night, and Tennessee National Raceway on Saturday.

Tying with Wayne Johnson for the CP-Carrillo Hard Charger of the Night at Paducah, Hahn barely made the cut for the A-Feature.

“I knew it was going to be close. We just couldn’t move forward in the Heat Race and ended up losing a spot. It just worked out where we didn’t have the run the B-Main.”

Finally working to sixth in the A-Feature, it was a slow process as the line moved around the steeply banked three-eighths-mile oval.

“It was tricky. The track had a few rough spots that could throw you if you didn’t hit them just right so you had to careful of where you tried to pass but overall, the car felt good and I could pretty much run where I needed to.”

At Tennessee National Raceway with the ASCS Mid-South Region the following night, Hahn came up just shy of victory as an ill-timed caution negated his pass for the lead while working the fourth lap.

“I wasn’t sure if the lap was fully completed or not, but it is what it is. I found the line and ran Mark [Smith] down and made sure I could pull it off without giving him a big chance to get it back. That caution had me cussing because I knew he’d have to mess up for us to get him again, but it was still a good night with a second-place finish.”

The 2018 season is Blake Hahn’s 16th year of racing. Starting in Jr. Sprints at the Tulsa Shootout, Hahn has progressed through the ranks with over 90 victories across Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars.
